About Us

TVO Mechanical is owned and operated by Travis and Victoria Poersch. Travis is a duel ticketed 3rd class Power Engineer and Millwright holding certifications in refrigeration and automation and controls. Travis grew up on a farm in MB where he learned from a very early age the importance of hard work and "getting your hands dirty". Tinkering as a young boy turned into a passion for fixing everything from small engines, automotive and farm equipment. Shop class in high school started things off with learning small engine and automotive repair, along with welding. After high school Travis went to College and became a Power Engineer landing him a job at the community sports complex as an operator and then eventually being promoted to Chief Engineer. As a Chief Engineer Travis was able to gain the experience in boiler operation and maintenance, water treatment and testing, ammonia refrigeration and general building maintenance and repair. After 5 years at the City of Brandon Sportsplex, Travis was awarded position at the Brandon University as an operating engineer. After a few years at BU, Travis became the Chief Engineer of the Physical Plant department which provided him the experience to  challenge his Millwright Red Seal ticket, this brought on the responsibility of  operating a 1050HP low pressure steam plant with all the building auxiliaries and multiple refrigeration units from just 1 ton up to 600 ton capacity! Eventually the desire to settle down in a small community and be closer to family is what brought us to SK where Victoria is originally from. After seeing a need in the smaller communities for skilled mechanical services we decided to start our own company. With such a multifaceted background we know that our company can be an asset to Yellow Grass, Weyburn and the surrounding areas! 100% customer satisfaction is our goal and promise to our community.
